TKİ Kurumu Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı müesseselerden biri olan ELİ Müesesesi, Ege Bölgesi'nin yakıt ve Soma'da kurulu bulunan 704 MW gücündeki termik santral ile inşaat halindeki 330 MW güçlü yeni termik santrallerin ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak am­acıyla yaklaşık 5700 çalışanıyla faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir. Bu yazıda ELİ Müessesesine bağlı bölgelerdeki linyit rezervleri, uygulanmakta olan işletme yöntemleri ve linyit üretim miktarları tanıtılmaktadır

ELİ which is one of the establishments operating under the management of Turk­ish Coal Enterprises supplies both the heating coal to Aegean district and the demand of a power plant of 704 MW. Another power plant of 330 MW is under construction in the area. The establishment employs about 5700 people. In this paper, the lignite reserves, mining methods and production activities of ELI are described
