Madencilikte yaygın olarak kullanılan patlatmada, en az toplam maliyetin (harcanan toplam pa­ra/elde edilen toplam kaya hacmi) elde edilebilmesi patlatılacak kayanın özelliğine uygun patlayıcı madde seçimi ve bu ikiliye (kaya-patlayıcı madde) uygun patlatma dizaynının yapılması ile ola­naklıdır. En az toplam maliyet-optimum sonucu ede etmek için ilk aşama, istenen sonucu sağlayabilecek patlayıcı madde özelliklerine sahip patlayıcının seçimidir. Bunun için patlayıcı maddeleri ideal ve ideal olmayanlar olarak iki sınıfa ayırıp her sınıftaki patlayıcının, şok (kırma) ve taşıma enerjilerinin tanımlan ması gerekir. Bu yazının amacı, Türkiye'de yaygın olarak kullanılan patlayıcıların genel olarak sınıflandırılmas ve patlatılacak ortama göre patlayıcı madde seçiminde yardımcı olunabilmesidir

In blasting operation, which is a common method used in mining, obtaining the minimum total cost (total cost/total volume of rock obtained) depends upon, firstly coupling the rock and explosive and choosing the suitable explosive according to rock properties, and secondly coupling the blast pattern to rock-explosive system. In order to obtain the minimum total cost-optimum results first step is the selection of explosive having suitable properties to achie ve the goals. In choosing an explosive, first, explosives should be classified into two groups (ideal and nonideal) and related properties, like shock and heave energies, must be identified. The aim of this paper is a general classification of most common explosives in Turkish market and showing some guidelines for selection of suitable explosive for blasting, depending upon rock properties
