Madencilik projeleri, eskiden beri riskli yatırımlar olarak bilinirler. Madencilik projeleri­nin risk analizi, sistemin karmaşıklığından ve eldeki verilerin belirsizliğinden dolayı ol­dukça zordur. Bu projeler için karar vermede bilgisayar benzetim yöntemlerinden yarar­lanılır. Bilgisayar benzetim yöntemi, bir projede işletme koşullarındaki değişikliklerin projeye etkisini saptamada ya da projede ilgilenilen parametrelerin elde edilecek olası sonuçlarının frekans dağılımının elde edilmesinde kullanılır. Bu yazıda, madencilik projelerinde risk analizi ile Monte Karlo Benzetim Yöntemi bir örnekle tanıtılarak elde edilen ve elde edilebilecek sonuçlar tartışılmıştır

Mining projects have long been recognized as risky investments. Risk analysis of mining projects is diffucult because of their complexity and because of the high degree of uncertainty that is often associated with the available information. Decision making for this type of projects can be faciliated by application of computer simulation. Comput­er simulation is used to determine the effects of changes in various operating conditions or to generate frequency distributions of possible outcomes of variables of interests in the project. In this article a brief introduction to risk analysis in mining project and Monte Carlo simulation method together with a small example are given and the results obtained and expected are discussed
