Bu yazıda, yeraltı maden işletmesinden doğan zemin hareketleri ve bu hareketlerin yapılar üzerindeki etkileri kısaca açıklandıktan sonra, Zonguldak kömür üretim bölgele­ri üzerinde yer alan 30 yapı üzerinde söz konusu zemin hareketlerinin zararlı etkileri in­celenmekte ve genel bir durum değerlendirmesi yapılmaktadır. Daha sonra, zemin hare­ketlerine dayanıklı ya da bu hareketleri sönümleyecek önlemlerle donatılmış yapı sis­temleri anlatılmakta ve benzer sorunları olan ülkelerin çözüme yaklaşım biçimleri hak­kında genel bilgi verilmektedir

In this paper, after the explanation of ground movements occurred due to under­ground mining and resulting effects on structures; various damage observed on 30 buildings which are located over the coal production districts of Zonguldak is investi­gated and an overall assessment is made. Then the convenient construction systems which are either built to resist or equipped with the preventive measures to sustain these movements are explained and furthermore the approaches adopted in some countries facing the same problems are introduced in general
