Son birkaç yıldır ülkemiz madencilik sektörü ve yerbilimcileri arasında altın oldukça popülerdir. Bunun nedeni, yakın geçmişte Pasifik kuşağı epitermal altın yataklarının keşfedilmiş olması ve benzer oluşumların Türkiye'de de bulunabileceğinin anlaşılmasıdır. Birçok yabancı şirketin yanı sıra bir o kadar da yerli şirketin aramalarını yoğun­laştırdığı epitermal altın yataklarının oluşum mekanizması ve tanımlayıcı özellikleri, Pasifik kuşağı epitermal altın yatakları ve temel maden jeolojik veriler esas alınarak bu çalışmada sunulmuştur

In the last few years gold has become popular in the mining sector and among the earth scientists in Turkey. Reason for this is the recent discovery of the epithermal gold deposits in the Pasific belt and the probability that similar deposits may be pre­sent in Turkey. Many foreign companies and a similar number of Turkish companies are prospecting for the epithermal gold deposits. In this paper the formation mechan­ism and the characteristic features of the epithermal gold depoits, based on the gold deposits from the Pasific belt, are given
