Hasan Âli Yücel Yirminci asır Türk eğitim, bilim ve sanat hayatı içinde çok önemli bir yere sahiptir. Hasan Âli’nin biyografisinde, onun çok farklı konulara ilgi duyduğundan bahsedilir. Bu çalışmada, bir dönemin fikrî ve siyasî hayatında oldukça etkili bir rol oynayan Hasan Âli’nin, edebî yönüne ışık tutacak hayat hikâyesi ve özellikle şiirleri üzerinde durulmuş- tur. Hasan Âli’den bahseden edebiyat tarihleri, monografiler, antolojiler, çeşitli incelemeler, kitaplar, dergiler, gazeteler, broşürler vb. yayınlar incelenmiş; bilhassa Yücel’in ilk çalışmaları için Dergâh Mecmuası, Yeni Mecmua, Yarın Mecmuası, Millî Mecmua, Hayat Mecmûası vb. gibi süreli yayınlar ve ilgili gazeteler, öncelikle taranmıştır. Hasan Âli’nin şiirleri, yirminci asır Türk şiirinin dikkati çeken örnekleri arasındadır.

Hasan Ali Yücel was a significant person for Turkish educational, scientific and artistic life in the twentieth century. It is mentioned in biographies about him that he was interested in many different subjects. He was a leading figure of his era’s ideological and political life. In this article, his life story that enlightens his literary aspects and especially his poems are examined. In this sense, history books of Turkish literature about him, monographies, anthologies, different surveys, books, journals, newspapers and brochures were examined. Furthermore, periodicals and related newspapers such as Dergah Mecmuası, Yeni Mecmua, Yarın Mecmuası, Milli Mecmua, Hayat Mecmuası were scanned for the early works of Yücel. The poems of Hasan Ali Yücel are among the significant examples of Turkish poetry in the twentieth century.
