Akıllı Turizmin Türkiye’de Uygulanabilirliği: İstanbul Örneği

Öz Globalleşme, nüfus, sınırlı kaynak tüketimi, kentleşme, çevre kirliliği ve sert ekonomik rekabet koşulları gibi konulardaki hızlı artışlar küresel çaptaki yerleşim alanlarında birçok problemi de beraberinde getirmektedir. Bilişim ve iletişim teknolojileri, akıllı cihazlar ve sensörlerdeki gelişmeler, yerel yönetim ve şehir planlama kurumlarına kentsel problemlere karşı çözüm oluşturabilmeleri için kesin ve canlı verilere ulaşabilmelerini mümkün kılan bir yerleşim konsepti olan Akıllı Şehirleri ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, akıllı turizm modelinin Türkiye uygulanabilirliğini İstanbul ili üzerinden incelemektir. Bu bağlamda İstanbul ilinde bulunan turizm ve şehircilik alanında faaliyet gösteren 10 ana paydaş kurum araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Nitel yöntemlerin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada bahsi geçen kurumlardan seçilen üst düzey yöneticilere, görüşmelerde sorulan sorular neticesinde alınan veriler Türk turizminin İstanbul üzerinden Akıllı Turizm modeline uygunluğu 7 boyutta değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda İstanbul ilinin akıllı şehir alt yapısının tam olarak tamamlanmasa da bazı iyileştirme ve planlamaların yapılması ile akıllı turizm konseptinin uygulanabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
