AKADEMİK DANIŞMANLIĞIN İŞ ARAMA DAVRANIŞI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: TURİZM ÖĞRENCİLERİNE YÖNELİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Araştırmada akademik danışmanlık sisteminin, öğrencilerin aktif ve iş aramaya hazırlık davranışları üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yükseköğrenimi tamamlama aşamasında olan öğrencilerin iş arama davranışı içinde olması, farklı kanalların desteğini de ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Üniversitelerdeki akademik danışmanlar, biçimsel görev tanımları içinde yer almasa da rol ötesi davranış kalıpları olarak iş arama davranışını destekleyecek kaynaklardan bir tanesidir. Bu anlamda çalışma 4 Turizm Fakültesi ve 1 Turizm İşletmeciliği ve Otelcilik Yüksekokulunda okuyan 375 son sınıf öğrencisi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, anket tekniğinden faydalanılmıştır. Verilerin elde edilmesinde alan yazında yer alan ölçekler kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler SPSS ve LISREL programları aracığıyla incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları akademik danışmanlığın niteliğinin iş aramaya hazırlık ve aktif iş arama davranışları üzerinde etkili olduğunu göstermektedir.

The Effect of Academic Counseling on Job Search Behavior: A Research on Tourism Students

This study aims to investigate the effects of academic advising system on students' job search behavior.  The fact that the students who are in graduation are in the job seeking behavior also necessitates the support of different channels. Academic advisor in universities are one of the sources to support job search behavior as in-role behavior patterns, even though they are not part of formal job descriptions. In this regards, the study was carried out with 375 senior students studying at 4 Tourism Faculty and 1 School of Tourism and Hotel Management. In the study, the questionnaire technique was utilized to obtaining the data. The data were obtained from the scales in the literature. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using SPSS and LISREL programs. The results of the study show that the nature of the advising is influential on preparation for job seeking and active job seeking behaviors.
