Current Taxonomic Status of the Genus Oenanthe (Apiaceae) in Turkey

In this study, recent taxanomic status of the synopsis of the Oenanthe species in Turkey is presented. According to Flora of Turkey, the genus has 8 taxa in Turkey, however at the end of this study, the number has been increased to 9 species. Oenanthe globulosa is removed from the species list. It has been determined that specimens of this species belong to Oe. cyclocarpa, and confirmed that Oe. globulosa species is absent in Turkey. IUCN conservation status of Oe. cyclocarpa which is endemic for Turkey is indicated. Lectotype of Oe. sophiae is designated. Oenanthe pimpinelloides subsp. incrassans is evaluated here as a synonym of Oe. incrassans. Turkish name is suggested to Oe. millefolia. Main synonyms, nomenclatural types, ecological characteristics, distribution in our country and actual diagnostic keys are also given for each accepted taxon.
