Endemik Cousinia halysensis Hub.-Mor.
The Anatomical, Palynological and Micromorphological Investigation of Endemic Cousinia halysensis Hub.-Mor. (Asteraceae)
Cousinia (Asteraceae, Cardueae) is known the third largest genus in the Asteraceae, comprises approximately by 700 taxa all of the world. As a part of this study, it is carried out in order to contribute to the taxonomy of Cousinia, describing anatomic features, palynologic and micromorphologic of C. halysensis species locating sect. Cousinia. Seed and pollen micromorphologic features of Cousinia halysensis species, photos of the species and distribution areas are shown on the map. In anatomic study of this species, stem, leaf and midrib characteristics and photographs of C. halysensis species are given. It is determined that the number of cortex layer, midrib shape and the number of vascular bundles is important. For palynologic measurement are used light microscopy and pollen shape is determined as subprolate. Pollen exine sculpturing is taken photo and determined verrucose by using SEM microscopy.
