özetDoğu Anadolu'nun deniz seviyesinden 1950 m. yükseklikte ve kışları çoksert geçen Erzurum iklim koşullarında yürütülen bu çalışma, 1295 çeşitten seçilen1975-1977 de 17, 1977-1978 de 30, 1978-1979 da 2 2 ve 1979-1980 de 15 kışlıkarpa çeşidinde olmak üzere, arpada kışa dayanma ve dane verimini incelemeyiamaçlamaktadır.Çeşitler verim bakımından ele alındıklarında: özellikle 1976-1977 ekim dönemindekıştan önemli ölçüde zarar görmesine rağmen, Wieland çeşidi Krusevac1 ve Do 12/127 çeşitleri ile birlikte ilk sırada yer almıştır. Krusevac Vin üçyıllık, Wieland ve Do 12/127 çeşitlerininse 5 yıllık ortalama verimleri sırasıyla206.4, 206.9 ve 191.0 kğjda olmuştur. Bu da yörede sulu koşullarda yazlık olarakyetiştirilen arpa verimi (Erzurum ili 1976-1980 yılları arası ortalama 114 kgldajnin çak üzerindedir. Sonuç olarak, bazı yıllar kış zararı söz konusu olsa bile bu çeşitlerinDoğu Anadolu Bölgesi'nde kışlık olarak yetiştirilmesi tavsiye eaikbilir.SummaryResistance of Some Barley Varieties To Winter Conditions and Yield Protuction in ErzurumThis study was carried out under the hard climatic conditions in Erzurumwith an elvation of 1950 m. The objective of the study to compare the winter hardnessgrain yield of 17, 30, 22 and 15 selected varieties out of 1295. The selectedvarieties were grown in the experimental preiods of 1975-1977, 1977-1978, 1978-1978 and 1979-1980 respectively.The result of the stud shows that Krusevac 1 and Do 12/127 varieties whichwere among the best in respect to resistance to the winter conditions and theemergence from the winter can be recommended for Erzurum.The average grain yield of Krusevac 1 (as the average of 3 years). Wielandand Do 12/127 (as the average of 5 years) were 206.4, 206.9 and 191.0 kg/da andpecrestively. These yield data are considerably higher than the barley yield averageof 114 kg/da which is given for the irrigated conditions in and around Erzurum.In brief it can be concluded that the three barley varieties mentioned abovemay be recomended for the Eastern Anatolia region even though the winterdamage may adversely effect them from time to time.
