ÖZ Halk eğitimi yetişkinin davranış, düşünce ve eylemlerinde değişiklik yaratmayı sağlayacak yeni bilgilerin, becerilerin kazandırılmasını amaçlar. Bu amacın gerçekleşebilmesi için yetişkinlerin eğitsel gereksinimlerinin, ilgilerinin ortaya çıkartılması, eğitsel araçların saptanması, öğretim işleri için planlamanın yapılması, uygulanması ve değerlendirilmesi ve yetişkinlerin bu sürece katılması sağlanmalıdır. Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy Halk Eğitim Merkezinde, yöredeki kadınlara bu imkân sağlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada söz konusu merkezin faaliyetlerinden bir kesit ve yörenin dokuma geleneği (Alaca dokumaları) ele alınmıştır. ABSTRACT Public education aims to teach new knowledge and skills that will create changes in adults’ behaviors, thinking and actions. To realize this purpose, it is necessary to determine the educational requirements, interests of adults, determine the educational tools, make plans about educational works, practice and evaluate those plans and make sure adults take part in this process.
