Amfizematöz piyelonefrit (olgu sunumu)

Amfizematöz piyelonefrit böbreğin hayatı tehdit eden akut süpüratif bir enfeksiyonu olup renal parankim, toplayıcı sistem ve perinefrik dokuda gaz üretimi ile karakterizedir. Olguların çoğu kontrol edilmemiş diyabetes mellitus, obstrüktif üropati ve gaz oluşturan organizmaların süperenfeksiyonu nedeni ile ortaya çıkar. Bu olgu sunumunda diyabetes mellitus tanısı olan ve amfizematöz piyelonefrite bağlı sepsis kliniği ile yoğun bakım ünitemizde izlenen bir hasta anlatılmaktadır.

Emphysematous pyelonephritis (case report)

Emphysematous pyelonephritis is a rare but life threatening acute suppurative infection of the kidney, which is characterized by gas production in the renal parenchyma, collector system and perinephric tissues. Most of the cases are results of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, obstructive uropathy and superinfection of gas performing organisms. This case report presents a diabetic patient who was observed in the intensive care unit following diagnosis of sepsis due to emphysematous pyelonephritis.
