Menstrual psikoz: Olgu sunumu

Menstrual psikoz (MP) günümüzdeki standart psikiyatrik sınıflandırma sisteminde ayrı bir başlıkta yer almamakta olup literatürde bu bozukluk ile ilgili bilgilerin çoğunu olgu bildirimleri oluşturmaktadır. MP'nin kendine özgü klinik belirtileri nedeniyle diğer psikotik belirtilerle giden hastalıklardan farklılaştığı görülmektedir. MP'li olgularda tedavi açısından geniş örneklemli kontrollü çalışmalara gerek duyulduğu ve uzun süreli izlemenin gerekli olduğu bildirilmiştir. Bu yazıda affektif ve psikotik bulgularla giden MP'li kız ergen olgu sunularak nadir görülen bu bozukluğa yönelik farkındalığın artırılması amaçlanmıştır. Menstrual psychosis: a case report

Menstrual psychosis (MP) is not a distinct title within the current standard psychiatric classification. Most of the literature on this disorder is based on case reports. Due to its unique clinical symptoms, MP differs from other disorders that come with psychotic symptoms. It has been reported that controlled studies utilizing large samples as well as long-term monitoring are required for the treatment of MP cases. This study presents the case of a female adolescent with MP involving affective and psychotic findings, and it attempts to raise awareness regarding this rare disorder.
