Gözden Geçirilmiş Uzun ve Kısa Form Altı Faktörlü Kişilik Envanteri (HEXACO-PI-R) Türkçe Formunun psikometrik özelliklerinin incelenmesi

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Altı Faktörlü (HEXACO) Kişilik Envanterinin 100 maddeli uzun (HEXACO-KE-100-Tr) ve 60 maddeli kısa (HEXACO-KE-60-Tr) Türkçe formlarının psikometrik özelliklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışmaya 18-73 yaşları arasında, 682 kadın, 492 erkek olmak üzere toplam 1174 kişi katılmıştır. Kriter bağıntılı geçerlilik çalışması için envanterle birlikte Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanteri uzun formu uygulanmıştır. Katılımcıların 1118’i iki envanteri de yanıtlamıştır. Katılımcıların 55’i test-tekrar test karşılaştırması için ilk uygulamadan 15 gün sonra HEXACO-KE-Tr’yi yeniden doldurmuştur. Sonuçlar: Uzun form için altı faktörün 0.72-0.78 arasında, 24 alt boyutun 0.29-0.77 arasında, kısa form için ise altı faktörün 0.58-0.75 arasında değişen iç tutarlılık güvenilirlik katsayısı gösterdikleri hesaplanmıştır. Test-tekrar test güvenilirlik analizi sonuçlarına göre faktörler, uzun form için 0.67-0.80 arasında, kısa form için 0.54-0.81 arasında bağıntı katsayısı göstermiştir. Envanter, altı faktörlü yapıyla toplam varyansın uzun formda %27.76’sını, kısa formda %30.24’ünü açıklanmıştır. Kısa ve uzun formlar arasında ise benzerlik ölçüsü olarak dürüstlük-alçak gönüllülük faktörü için 0.92, dışa dönüklük faktörü için 0.91, duygusallık, uyumluluk, sorumluluk ve deneyime açıklık faktörleri için 0.94 düzeyinde bağıntı katsayıları belirlenmiştir. Bileşen geçerliliği için HEXACO-KE-Tr faktörleri ile Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanteri faktörleri arasında, uzun form için 0.46-0.73 arasında değişen, kısa form için 0.45-0.66 arasında değişen bağıntı katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Tartışma: Altı Faktörlü (HEXACO) Kişilik Envanterinin hem uzun, hem de kısa Türkçe formlarının pratik kullanımlar için temel psikometrik özellikleri taşıdığı ve envanterin iki formunun da İngilizce aslına oldukça benzer özellikler gösterdiği görülmüştür.

Psychometric properties of the HEXACO Personality InventoryRevised (HEXACO-PI-R) Long and Short Turkish Forms

Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the psychometric properties of the HEXACO Personality Inventory-Revised (HEXACO-PI-R) 100 item long (HEXACO-PI-R-100-Tr) and 60 item short HEXACO-PI-R-60-Tr) Turkish forms. Methods: A total of 1174 people, 682 women and 492 men, between the ages of 18 and 73 participated in the study. The Five Factor Personality Inventory long form was administered to assess convergent validity. Of all participants 1118 people answered both inventories. Of participants 55 people completed the HEXACO-PI-Tr again after an interval of 15 days for test retest comparison. Results: The long form showed internal-consistency reliabilities ranging from 0.72 to 0.78 for six factors and from 0.29 to 0.77 for 24 subdimensions, for the short form internal- consistency reliabilities for six factors ranged from 0.58 to 0.75. Results of test retest analysis of the factors revealed correlation coefficients ranging from 0.67 to 0.80 for the long form and from 0.54 to 0.81 for the short form. Six factor construct of the inventory accounted for 27.76% of the variance in the long form and for 30.24% of the variance in the short form. Correlation coefficients as similarity measures between the factors of short and long forms were 0.92 for honesty-humility, 0.91 for extraversion, 0.94 for emotionality, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness to experience. Convergence validity correlation coefficients between factors of the HEXACO-PI-100-Tr and factors of the Five Factor Personality Inventory ranged from 0.46 to 0.73 for the long form and from 0.45 to 0.66 for the short form. Discussion: The results show that the Turkish form of the HEXACO Personality Inventory-Revised (HEXACO-PI-R-Tr), both long and short forms, carry basic psychometric properties for practical uses and both forms show quite similar properties with the original English version. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
