АЗЕРБАЙДЖАНСКАЯ ПИСЬМЕННОСТЬ: ИСТОРИЧЕСКИЕ ИСТОКИ И ЭТАПЫ РАЗВИТИЯ

Представленная статья посвящена историческим истокам и этапам становления письменности азербайджанского языка. После установления в стране коммунистического режима по инициативе властей был поставлен вопрос о переводе с арабской письменности на латинскую. Инициатива перехода с арабского на латинский алфавит принадлежала правительству Азербайджана. Проведение I Всесоюзного тюркологического съезда, сыграло важную роль в решении актуальных проблем истории, этнографии, языка и литературы тюркоязычных народов и положило начало новым этапам культурного развития этих народов. В годы независимости азербайджанский язык получил в полном смысле слова статус государственного языка.

Azerbaijani Writing: Historical Origins and Stages of Development

The presented article is devoted to the historical origins and stages of the formation of the written language of the Azerbaijani language. After the establishment of the communist regime in the country, at the initiative of the authorities, the question of translating from Arabic writing into Latin was raised. The initiative to switch from Arabic to Latin alphabet belonged to the government of Azerbaijan. The holding of the First All-Union Turkological Congress played an important role in solving urgent problems of the history, ethnography, language and literature of the Turkic-speaking peoples and marked the beginning of new stages in the cultural development of these peoples. During the years of independence, the Azerbaijani language received the status of the state language in the full sense of the word.
