Hepatosellüler karsinomun duodenal invazyonuna bağlı gelişen üst gastrointestinal kanamanın transkateter arteryel embolizasyon ile başarılı tedavisi
Hepatosellüler karsinomun duodenal invazyonuna bağlı gelişen gastro- intestinal kanama oldukça nadir görülen bir durumdur. Bu yazıda duodenal invazyon gösteren hepatosellüler karsinoma bağlı gelişen şiddetli üst gastrointestinal kanama ile başvuran 69 yaşında kadın olgu sunulmaktadır. Transkateter arteryel embolizasyon ile kanama durdurulmuştur. Üst gastrointestinal kanama ile başvuran sirotik olgularda, nadir görülse de hepatosellüler karsinomun duodenum invazyonu ayırıcı tanıda akılda tutulmalıdır. Hepatosellüler karsinomun duodenum invazyonuna bağlı gelişen kanamayı durdurmakta transkateter arteryel embolizasyon etkin bir yöntemdir.
Successful treatment with transcatheter arterial embolization for upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to duodenal invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma
Gastrointestinal bleeding due to duodenal invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma is an extremely rare condition. Herein we report a case of 69-year-old woman who presented with massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to duodenal invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma. Tran- scatheter arterial embolization was effective in stopping the bleeding. Although it is rare, duodenal invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma should be considerd in the differential diagnosis of cirrhotic patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Transcatheter arterial embolization is an effective method to stop bleeding due to the duodenal invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma.
