Bu çalışma uydu yayıncılığının tarihsel gelişimi, teknik yapısı, günümüzdeki durumu ve Türkiyedeki yayıncılığın geleceği üzerinde odaklanmaktadır. Alan yazın araştırması yöntemiyle hazırlanan çalışmada amaçlarına göre uydular detaylı bir şekilde aktarılmış olup, iletişim uydularının teknik işleyişi konusunda bilgiler verilmiştir. Uydu yayıncılığının kronolojik gelişimi üzerinde durularak, Türkiye ve dünyada analog uydu yayıncılığından, sayısal uydu yayıncılığına geçişin temel nedenleri irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca Türkiyede uydu yayıncılığının geleceğine yönelik çıkarımlarda bulunularak milli uyduların 2020li yıllarda dünya geneline hizmet vereceği sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.

This study focused on the historical development, technical structure, the current position of satellite broadcasting and the future of brodcasting in Turkey. This article which was prepered by literature research method was deeply explained the type of satellites and technical operation of the communications satellites. The development of satellite broadcasting was given by chronological order and the transition from analogue to digital technologies was explained with the main reasons. The future of satellite broadcasting in Turkey was discussed in this study. As a result, national satellites in 2020, will serve service all over the World.
