KIBT’nin (Konik Işınlı Bilgisayarlı Tomografi) endodontide kullanımı:Durum güncellemesi
KIBT, son zamanlarda endodontide medikal BT ile karşılaştırıldığında ortaya çıkan avantajları ile sıkça 5 kullanılmaktadır. Bu güncel derlemenin amacı KIBT’nin özelliklerini, endodontide teşhis ve tedavide kullanım amaçlarını ortaya koymaktır. Endodontik açıdan KIBT birçok faydalı bilgi sağlasa da olası riskleri hesaplanarak sadece direkt fayda sağlayacak endikasyonlarda kullanılmalıdır. Endodontik endikasyonlarla ilgili kriterler araştırmalar ışığında sürekli yenilenmelidir.
Use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography in endodontics: An update
Recently, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is commonly used in endodontics due its advantages over medical CT. This updated review aims to explain fundamentals of CBCT and show its indications in 15 diagnosis and treatment in endodontics. Although, CBCT may provide useful information in several endodontic cases it must be only used in correct indications where its usage provides direct benefits over its risks. Referral criteria for endodontics should be updated routinely in light of newer investigations.
