Ortaokul Öğrencilerinin Epistemolojik İnançlarının Ölçülmesi: Bir Ölçek Geliştirme Çalışması

Öz Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türk kültürü bağlamında ortaokul öğrencilerinin epistemolojik inançlarını ölçebilecek bir araç geliştirmektir. Araştırma genel tarama modellerinden kesitsel tarama modeline uygun olarak desenlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu, 2015-2016 öğretim yılında Manisa ili merkez Şehzadeler ve Yunusemre ilçelerinde okuyan ve seçkisiz örnekleme yoluyla belirlenmiş 514 ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliği için ilk önce açımlayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) yapılmış, ortaya çıkarılan yapıların mevcut kuramla uyumlu olup olmadığını sınamak amacıyla doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucu ölçeğin, "uzman otoritesi", "doğuştan yetenek", "hızlı öğrenme" ve "basit bilgi" boyutlarını içeren 20 maddeden oluştuğu tespit edilmiştir. Son haliyle ölçeğin toplam varyansın % 45,63'ünü açıkladığı görülmüştür. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini belirleyebilmek için yapılan hesaplamada Cronbach's alpha değeri 0,730 olarak bulunmuştur. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda elde edilen değerlerin tamamı kurulan modelin iyi uyuma sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Araştırma sonucunda geliştirilen ölçeğin, ortaokul öğrencilerinin epistemolojik inançlarını ölçebilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
