Meslek seçimi öğrencilerin geleceklerinin şekillendirilmesinde önemli kararlardan birisidir ve karar aşamasında olan bireylerin dikkate alması gereken pek çok kriter bulunmaktadır. Bilgisayar Mühendisliği mesleği seçiminde de öğrenciler pek çok genel kriteri dikkate almakla birlikte özel olarak mesleğin ayırt edici özelliklerinin de değerlendirildiği kriterleri de göz önüne almaktadırlar.  Burada öğrencilerin hem kendi kişilik özelliklerini hem de mesleğin taşıdığı bazı özellikleri değerlendirmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada 2016-2017 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı Balıkesir Üniversitesi Bilgisayar Mühendisliği 1. Sınıf öğrencilerinin meslek seçimleri kriterlerinin önem dereceleri ve bu kriterlerin sıraları belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin doldurdukları formlara dayanarak veriler elde edilmiştir. Meslek seçim kriterleri sübjektif yargıları da barındırdığından Analitik Hiyerarşi Prosesi ile bu dereceleme ve sıralama işlemleri yapılmıştır. Burada öğrencilerin almış oldukları bir kararda hangi kriterleri öncelikli olarak değerlendirdiklerini belirlemek ve bu kriterlerin önem düzeylerini ağırlıklandırmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu şekilde özellikle Bilgisayar Mühendisliği için meslek tanıtımlarının yapılmasında ve öğrencilerin ihtiyaçlarının belirlenmesinde bu kriterlerin etkisi daha fazla dikkate alınabilecektir.

Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions in shaping the future of the students. There are many criteria that individuals in decision-making need to take into consideration. In the selection of the Computer Engineering profession, students consider the criteria in which the distinguishing features of this profession are evaluated. Here, students have to evaluate both their personality traits and some of the characteristics of the profession. In this study, 2016-2017 Academic Year Balıkesir University Computer Engineering 1st Grade students' degree of importance of the criteria of career selection and the order of these criteria are determined. Data were obtained based on the forms that the students filled. As the criteria for selection of occupations include subjective judgments, these grading and sorting processes were carried out with the Analytic Hierarchy Process. In this study, it is aimed to determine which criteria are considered as a priority by the students and weighting the importance levels of these criteria. According to the results obtained, female students to ask for the profession, to see as the ideal profession and career opportunities are priority criteria. For male students, it is important to ask for the profession, to be interested in computer technologies and to see as the ideal profession. In this way, the impact of these criteria can be taken into consideration in the introduction of profession for Computer Engineering and in determining the needs of students
