Islamophobia as a Result of the Prejudices and Discrepancies of Europe

Islamophobia, which implies negative positions and behaviours towards Islam and Muslims has an important problem that has made its presence increasingly felt in the European countries in the last quarter of century. As the main cause of this problem, usually the negative attitudes and activities of Muslims are shown including first of all the terrorist attacks of some persons and organisations that associate themselves with Islam. Obviously, some factors arising from Muslims around the world may play a role in the emergence of some negative understandings against Muslims. However, as will be attempted to show in this study, the primary causes of the rising Islamophobia in Europe should be sought in the contradicting approaches of the European states and societies with their own values and in their prejudices against Muslims
