Sebzeler insan beslenmesinde ve özellikle de sağlıklı belenmede önemli bir kaynaktır. Türkiye 25 milyon tonluk sebze üretimiyle dünyada Çin, Hindistan ve ABD'den sonra dördüncü sırada yer almaktadır. Türkiye'nin coğrafik koşulları tüm sebze çeşitlerinin yetiştirilmesine olanak tanımaktadır ve ülkede 805000 hektar alanda sebze üretimi yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de sebze üretim ve pazarlama yapılarını analiz etmek ve karşılaşılan sorunları belirlemektir. Ayrıca çalışmanın sonunda gelecekle ilgili bazı önlemler de önerilmektedir.

Vegetables form an important resource in human nutrition and especially for healthy nutrition. Turkey takes the fourth place after China, India, and U.S.A in the world vegetable production with 25 million tons. The geographical conditions of Turkey let almost all kinds of vegetables to be grown in the country and 805 000 hectares area in the country are used for vegetable production. The purpose of this study is to analyse the production and marketing structures of vegetables in Turkey and determine vegetable production and marketing problems. Further, some measures for the future are proposed in the end of this study.
