INVESTIGATION OF BLOOD LACTIC ACID AND BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS OF CADET MALE FOOTBALL PLAYERS DURING A MATCH

The aim of this study was to investigate the changes of blood lactic acid and blood glucose levels of amateur male cadet football players aged 14-16 during a football match. A total of 11 football players from Ankaragücü sport club were voluntarily participated in to this study. Mean ages, height and body weight of subjects were 14,63±0,05 years, 165,45±1,06 cm, 61,09±1,37 kg respectively. In addition max VO2, anaerobic power and percent body fat of subjects were 45.22±0.66 ml.kg/dk, 71.8 ± kg.m/sn, 8.07±0.18 % respectively. Lactic acid and blood glucose values of subjects were determined after 15 minutes warming up just before the begining of the match, just finishing the 1st half of the match and at the end of the match by taken blood samples. Statistical analysis were done by using SPSS 9.0 statistical programme at 0,05 meaningfull level with one way analysis of variance. As a results of this study; just before match lactic acid values of subjects (1.98±0.26 mmol/L) were statisticaly increassed at the end of the 1st half (4.25±0.55 mmol/L) and end of the game (3.94±0.32 mmol/L) (p<0.05). Blood glucose level of footballers (102.36±2.83 mg/dl)were increased at the end of first half (110.72±4.85 mg/dl) (p<0.05), then meaningful decrements were observed at the end of the match (91.02±2.58 mg/dl) (p<0.05).
