The Government can set the prices of goods under their cost which produced by some public institutions. The losses emerging out of setting prices is compensated by the Treasury and these losses are called "Duty Loss".In this paper, the concept of Duty Loss will be defined, and it will be compared with "Subvention". The reasons and effects of the Duty Loss will be explaned. After that the size of the Duty Loss in Turkey, will be analyzed.
