This paper explores the critical factors impacting a new product team's ability to unlearn or change its beliefs. By investigating the practices of 229 new product teams, we found that market and technology turbulence and team anxiety positively impact a team's ability to unlearn. We also found that team unlearning is important and directly impacts team learning.
