İlköğretim Okullarında Zorbalığın Yaygınlığı ve Doğası

Zorbalık okulda görülen siddet davranıslarının önemli bir bölümünü olusturmaktadır. Bu arastırma ilkögretim okullarında görülen zorbalık davranıslarının yaygınlıgını, türlerini, yasandıgı yerleri, yasanma zamanlarını ve ögrencilerin zorba davranıslar karsısında neler yaptıklarını belirlemek amacıyla gerçeklestirilmistir. Arastırma, yasları 10–14 yasları arasında olan, 212’si kız (%49), 221’i erkek (%51) olmak üzere toplam 433 ögrenci üzerinde yapılmıstır. Verilerin toplanmasında arastırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan anket kullanılmıstır. Arastırma sonucunda okulda daha fazla karsılasılan zorba davranısların “itildim”, “bana küfür edildi”, “sevmedigim isimlerle çagrıldım” “benimle alay edildi”,“elbiseme veya esyalarıma zarar verildi”, “hakkımda dedikodu yapıldı” seklinde oldugu belirlenmistir. Zorba davranıslara maruz kalma açısından kız ve erkek ögrenciler arasında erkeklerin lehine anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmustur. Zorbalıgın en fazla yasandıgı yerin “okul bahçesi” ve en fazla yasandıgı zamanın ise “okuldan eve dönerken” oldugu belirlenmistir. Okulda zorbaca davranıslarda bulunanların daha çok erkek olanlar ve yasça daha büyük ögrenciler oldukları saptanmıstır.

BULLYING AT PRIMARY SCHOOLS: PREVALENCE AND NATURE

The purpose of the study is to determine the prevalence and types of bullying behaviour, times and places where bullying occurs, and reactions of students against bullying behaviour. School children were investigated in a study of 433 pupils, 51% of boys (221), 49% of girls (212), between 10 and 14 years of age. A questionnaire was used by authors which prepared to measure attitudes towards bullying. The results emphasized that the most frequent bullying behaviour types at primary schools were reported as they were “pushed”, “sweared at me”, “called disagreeable names”, “mocked”, “damaged their dresses and belongings”, “spreaded rumours about me”. Significant differences in favor of boys were found between girls and boys who were victims. The findings showed that places, where bullying occurred the most, were the playgrounds and the times, when bullying occurred the most, were the times during the students going back home from the schools. According to the results, it was determined that students who had bullying attitudes were boys and older ones.
