TÜKETİMCİLİK KARŞITI KÜRESEL İNSİYATİF VE MANİFESTOLAR: GEREKLER, GEREKÇELER, GERÇEKLİKLER

Her radikal yönelim, doygunluğun rahatsızlık verici noktasına eriştiğinde kendi karşıtını üretmiş olur.

GLOBAL ANTI-CONSUMERIST INITATIVES AND MANIFESTOES: NECESSITIES, REASONS, REALITIES

Each radical orientation generates its own opposition at the moment when it comes nettlesome point of repletion. Limitless consumerism and liberty of shopping that were once associated with freedom and freewill today turn into a paradox in which the modern individual both approaches to and escapes from it. The shopping-centred life style in the shade of happiness and indulgence feeds , on the one hand, pillage and ,on the other hand, stowage, that is, storage as an output of this paradox. In this paper, the counter-manifestoes against consumerism are analysed by classifying as culture jamming, constructing counter-tradition, return to nature and natural, return to simplicity, orientation to the second hand and return to spirituality. In this context, it touches critically on some initiatives such as Abusters, Buy Nothing Day, Fashion Revolution. Advent Conspiracy, Festivus, Eco-Village, Do It Yourself, Slow Movement, Digital Detox, TV Turn-off Week, Minimalism, Buy Nothing Project, Freecycle Network and freeganism.
