TEKNİK NOTGranüler Temel Tabakasının Mekanik Davranışına Sıkıştırma Yöntemleri ve Agrega Özelliklerinin Etkisi

Bazı deneyimler, granüler temel tabakası tasarımında agrega özellikleri ve sıkışma değerlerinin en önemli faktörler olduğu, darbeli kompaksiyon yönteminin arazideki gerçek malzeme performansını yansıtmadığı yönündedir. Granüler temel tabakası (GAB) tasarım esaslarının geliştirilmesine yönelik bu çalışmada, agrega gradasyonu ve fiziksel özelliklerinin tasarımda kullanılan darbeli ve titreşimli kompaktör ile hazırlanan numunelerin mekanik davranışı üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Dört farklı agrega kaynağından alınarak her iki sıkıştırma yöntemi ile hazırlanan numuneler üzerinde elek analizi, Kalifornia taşıma oranı ve esneklik modülü deneyleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deney sonuçları, agrega fiziksel özellikleri açısından değerlendirilmiş, titreşimli kompaksiyon yönteminin agregaların şekil ve yapısına önemli derecede zarar vermediği belirlenmiştir

Effects of Compaction Method and Aggregate Properties on Mechanical Behavior of Granular Base Layer The aggregate properties and their compaction degrees are the two most important factors that have significant effects on the design of granular highway base layers. The effects of impact compaction and vibratory compaction methodologies on the gradation, physical and mechanical properties of graded aggregate base (GAB) layers were observed in the current study. Sieve analysis, California bearing ratio (CBR) tests and resilient modulus tests were conducted on four different GAB materials. Results indicated that the vibratory compaction methodology has no significant damage on shape of the aggregates
