From its very begining the discipline of the history is based on two sources, oral and written ones. Especially manuscripts and other historical documents can be described as backbone of the history. Because not only they provide us crucial knowledge of the cultural, economical and social life of the past but also they have esthetic values. Today it seems to me we have some serious problems relating to the determination and classification of these invaluable documents. The first problem is about the naming of the documents. Titles, given to them, have to be in accord with the content. Secondly we have always to kept in mind that at least in some old volumes of the manuscripts, they contain several books or booklets together. Then in the process of classificiation, we have to be aware of this fact and if there are another books / booklets either at the end of it or around the pages. We have to determine all of them correctly and they have to be shown at the catalogue of the document. Thirdly, notes at the begining or the inner of the cover of the book must not be neglected since these notes are very important in the history of our cultural and social life. Morever, notes of registration and copying of the manuscripts are also very important for a student of the history. Then, they have to be read and determined carefully and correctly. If we want to help the students of the history and to show the richness of our libraries at least we must follow these rules, especially in the determination and classification of the written sources.
