Vakıf Üniversitesinde Çalışan Akademisyenlerde Tükenmişliğin Yordayıcıları: Örgütsel Adalet Algısı ve Çatışma Çözme Stilleri

Bu çalışmanın amacı, vakıf üniversitelerinde görev yapmakta olan akademik personelin örgütsel adalet algılarının ve çatışma çözme stillerinin yaşadıkları tükenmişlik düzeyi ile ilişkilerini incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmaya İstanbul ilindeki çeşitli vakıf üniversitelerinde, farklı akademik pozisyonlarda görev yapan 190 akademisyen dahil olmuştur. Katılımcılar demografik bilgi formunu, örgütsel adalet algısı ölçeğini, çatışma eylem stilleri ölçeğini ve Maslach tükenmişlik ölçeğini doldurmuşlardır. Verilerin analizi için ilk olarak, değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri ortaya koymak amacıyla korelasyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Daha sonra, sırasıyla tükenmişlik ölçeğinin alt boyutları bağımlı değişken ve örgütsel adalet algısı ölçeğinin alt boyutları ve çatışma eylem stilleri ölçeğinin alt boyutları bağımsız değişken olarak alınarak aşamalı (stepwise) regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Sonuçlar, akademisyenlerin örgütsel adalet algılarının ve kullandıkları çatışma çözme stillerinin tükenmişlik düzeyleriyle anlamlı ilişkiler ortaya koyduğunu göstermektedir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar yurt içi ve yurt dışında yapılan çalışmalar göz önünde bulundurularak tartışılmıştır.

Predictors of Burn-out Syndrome among Academics of Turkish Foundation Universities: Organizational Justice Perception and Conflict Management Styles

The purpose of the present study is to examine the relationship Organizational Justice Perception and conflict management styles experienced by a sample of academics working in different positions at foundation universities and their levels of burnout. In accordance with this aim, 190 academics working in the province of İstanbul involved in the study. The participants completed Demographic Information Form, Organizational Justice Scale, Conflict Activity Styles Inventory and Maslach Burnout Inventory. In order to analyze the data, firstly, correlation analyses were performed to assess the relationships among the variables. Then, a series of stepwise regression analyses were performed in order to analyze the predictive power of the dimensions of organizational justice perception and conflict management styles on dimensions of burnout respectively. It is found that there is a significant relationship between the perception of organizational justice and ’Conflict Management Styles which are used by a group of academics and their levels of burnout. The results are discussed by taking into consideration of the relevant research findings within the country and abroad.
