MAĞAZA HİZMET ORTAMININ MARKA İMAJINA VE SATIN ALMA NİYETİNE ETKİSİ: P&B VE H&M ÖRNEĞİ

Perakende sektöründe rekabet hızla artmaktadır, perakende markaları sadece diğer fizikî mağazaları olan rakiplerle değil online alışveriş platformlarıyla da rekabet etmeye başlamıştır. Tüketiciler alışveriş esnasında sadece ürün satın almak değil; aynı zamanda mutlu olmak, sosyalleşmek gibi bazı ek faydalar da isteyebilmektedir. Kısacası tüketiciler alışveriş yaparken hoş bir deneyim de yaşamak istemektedirler.Bireyler, hoşlandıkları ortamlarda daha çok kalmak isterken hoşlanmadıkları ortamlardan kaçmak eğilimindedirler. Mağaza hizmet ortamı faktörlerinin, doğru kullanılmasıyla tüketicinin hoşuna gidecek bir ortam yaratmak ve onu mağazaya çekmek, mağazada daha fazla vakit geçirmesini sağlamak ve satın almayı arttırmak mümkün olabilmektedir.Bu çalışmanın amacı, mağaza hizmet ortamı faktörlerinin marka imajı ve satın alma niyeti üzerindeki etkilerini ölçmektir. Bu amaçla iki perakende mağaza markası seçilmiş (Pull and Bear ve H&M) ve veriler yüz yüze anket kullanılarak üniversite öğrencilerinden toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre mağaza hizmet ortamının marka imajı ve satın alma niyeti üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı etkileri olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca, marka imajının satın alma niyeti üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisi olduğu saptanmıştır.

THE EFFECTS OF RETAIL SERVICESCAPE ON BRAND IMAGE AND PURCHASE INTENTION: P&B AND H&M EXAMPLE

Competion in the retail sector is increasing rapidly and retail brands compete not only with competitors that have physical retail shops but also with online shopping platforms. Consumers shop not only to buy products but at the same time they may desire some benefits such as being happy, or socializing. In other words, consumers want to have favorable experiences as they are shopping. Individuals tend to linger longer in environments that they like and they tend to escape from environments that they do not like. By creating and managing retail servicescapes properly it is possible to attract consumers to a retail shop and at the same time make them spend more time and money in the shop. The aim of this study is to understand the effects of retail servicescape factors on brand image and purchase intention. For the purpose of the study two retail brands were chosen (Pull and Bear and H&M) and data were collected from university students using face to face surveys. Research results show that retail servicescape has a statistically significant effect on brand image and purchase intention. Additionally, brand image has a statistically significant effect on purchase intention.
