İşletmelerin gelişmesine ve büyümesine paralel olarak muhasebenin işlevleri artmış, muhasebede üretilen bilgiler işletme yönetimi ve diğer kullanıcılar tarafından vazgeçilemeyecek kadar önemli bir duruma gelmiştir. Muhasebeden beklentilerin artması sebebiyle sadece doğru ve güvenilir kayıtlar dizisine sahip olmak değil, aynı zamanda işletme ile ilgili taraflara gereksinim duydukları bilgileri anlaşılır biçimde ve zamanında iletmek önem kazanmıştır. Bu görevi yerine getiren kişiler oldukları için muhasebecilerin iletişim becerilerine sahip olmaları gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle üniversite eğitiminde bu becerilerin kazanılmış olması meslekteki başarı için önem taşımaktadır.

Functions of the accounting have increased with the development of the managements, and information produced in accounting systems have became highly important for management administration as well as the users. Because of rising expectations from accounting, not only possessing accurate and confidential records but also transferring of these records to the related users clearly and on time have became vital. Since it is accountants’ responsibility, they are obligated to have advanced communication skills. Therefore possessing such communication skills is highly important during education for further career.
