AMERIKAN MUHAFAZAKÂRLIĞI VE DIŞ POLITIKA

Bu makalede Amerikan muhafazakârlığı ve onun Amerikan dış politikasındaki yeri irdelenecektir. Amerikan muhafazakârlığı farklı ulusların tecrübe ettiği muhafazakârlıktan keskin uçlarla ayrılmasa da dünya siyasetindeki yeri ve özellikle Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nin küresel güç dengesindeki yerini almasıyla birlikte,yeniden şekillenen küresel jeopolitiğin de dinamosu olması hasebiyle bu makalenin ilgi odağı olmuştur. Zaman zaman değişen liderlikle beraber muhafazakârlığın dış politikadaki yeri ve ağırlığı değişse de genel hatlarıyla reel politiğin devrede olduğu dönemler Amerikan dış politikasında muhafazakâr yönlendirmelerin ağırlıkta olduğu gözlemlenmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma daha çok idealizm ve realizm arasındaki gelgitlerle beraber jeopolitik zorunlulukların şekillendirdiği stratejik gerçeklikler ve uluslararası kurumların devreye sokulduğu daha dolaylı (indirect) siyaset tarzı tecrübelerini de incelemeyi hedeflemektedir.
