Bu çalışma, tarihsel süre. içerisinde tefsir anlayışı ve uygulamasında meydanagelen evrilmeye işaret ederek, hem bu evrilmenin, hem de uzun tarihselsürecin sonunda gelinen aşamanın ürettiği yeni sorunların, Kur’an’ınyorumu konusunda önemli zorluklar ortaya çıkardığını öne sürmektedir.Bu durum ise usûl meselesine yeniden dönme ihtiyacı doğurmuştur.Ayrıca bu çalışma, kutsal bir metin olarak Kur’an’ın doğru anlaşılmasınınilk koşulunun, kendine ait nüz.l ve risâlet tarihi içerisinde okunması olduğunugöstermektedir. This study presents the evolution of the perception and the practice oftafsîr in the historical process. In this framework, it suggests that this evolutionand the new problems which are produced by the new perception ontafsîr at the end of the long historical process reveal significant difficultiesin interpreting the Qur'an. This situation necessitates a return to the questionof methodology.Moreover, this study shows that the first condition of a correct understandingof the Quran as a sacred text is to be read in the history of its owncontext (asbâb al-nuzûl) and of the messengership (risâla). This requiresspecial attention to the historical context as well as the language spokenand the cultural situation behind it. Here, the term of language refers tothe use of the first interlocutors of the Quran.
