Science and its Development in the Islamic World during the Middle Ages

Science is the common inheritance of humanity. Those who contributed to this inheritance are the champions of the science and scientists. The scientists were the most respectful persons in the Muslim world during the Middle Ages while in the rest of the world illiteracy and ignorance were widespread. Muslims invited the scientists from all different races and beliefs to their countries and thus contributed to the development of science. They greatly benefited from the knowledge of the scientists from Alexandria, Edessa, Cundishapur and Syria. This was one of the significant factors in the flourishing of the science, which is the common value of the humanity. From Baghdad to Cordoba, the history has witnessed the great scientists such as Avicenna, Biruni, Ibn Miskeveyh and Cabir b. Hayyan, who were the groundbreaking figures in the history of science. They also pioneered the major theories of the modern science in various fields ranging from medicine to pharmachology, from astronomy to chemistry
