Hucr b. Adi who was executed by Muawiya, was a partisan of Ali. In the reign of Umayyad, he protested the Umayyad governor who cursed Ali and his partisans. Despite Mughira b. Shuba forgave him, Ziyad b. Ebih arrested and imprisoned him. And then Ziyad sent him to Muawiya with an accusation letter therefore Muawiya executed him. But in the meantime, some companions of the Prophet Muhammad blamed his execution
