The restructured primary education programs have different reflections on Turkish educational system and these reflections continue to be. A reflection of the renewed primary education programs has been noticed in exam for the transition to secondary school. A new exam under the name of Placement Test (SBS) has been applied since 2008. Compared with other tests, significant changes have been made within the scope of the SBS. One of these changes is to give place to the questions including images in SBS Turkish tests. When literature is reviewed, it is seen that there has been no research which analyzes the questions including images in SBS Turkish tests. The purpose of this study is to analyze the rate, diversity and content of the questions including images in SBS Turkish tests according to 6th, 7th and 8th class levels. With this purpose, SBS test booklets were analyzed using document review method which is one of the qualitative research approaches. The rate, diversity and content of the questions including images in SBS Turkish tests in the class level were determined by applying Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, coding and note-taking procedures and they were presented in findings of the research. According to the findings, it has been concluded that there is no standard in the rate by years and it was concentrated on them under specific headings in the range of variety and content. Provided that the results reached and recommendations made are taken into consideration, it is recommended that the images should be used in the new exam for transition to secondary school.
