Aile, değişen tanımı ve içeriğine karşın günümüzde hala en önemli kurumdur. Ailenin korunması ve güçsüz kaldığı dönemlerde desteklenmesi amacıyla yapılanan açık ya da kapalı aile politikaları, temelde bu birimi güçlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Mülteciler ise, savaş, ayrımcılık vb. nedenlerle ülkesini terk eden ve diğer bir devlete sığınan kişilerdir. Bu kişiler, yaşadıkları çeşitli travmalar nedeniyle incinebilir durumda olan ve özel ilgi gereksinimi olan gruplardır. Bu nedenle mevcut aile politikaları içinde mülteci boyutunun mutlaka yer alması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada var olan aile politikaları ve uluslararası alandaki mültecilere ilişkin politikalar, aile boyutunda irdelenecek ve konuya yönelik çözüm öneriler üzerinde durulacaktır.

Family is stil the most important institutiontoday in spite of its changing definition and content.Open or closed family policies that are realizedin order to protect and support family inperiods it becomes powerless, in essense, aim toempower this unit.Refugees, on the other hand, are people whoeither leave their Country due to the reasons suchas war, discrimination, ete. or demand to takeshelter in another state. These people are groupsthat are in a vulnerable situation because ofvarioustraumas and need special care. Because ofthis reason the refugee dimension has to beineluded in the current family policies.The family policies and the policies which, areabout refugees in internationaf level existing inthis study are going to be analyzed in the familydimension and the focus of attention is going tobe the proposals for solution to the issue.
