The aim of this study is to analyse concent of the periodical Maarif’s four special issues on the holy month of Ramadan of the year 1892. The Maarif was published in Istanbul between 31 August 1891-10 September 1896, 239 issues in five volumes. Periodicals are to be considered the mirror of their times. From this point of view, the special issues of the Maarif on the holy month of Ramadan open us a window to understand the Muslims’ celebrations and daily life during the Ramadan at the last period of the Ottoman Empire.
