Bu makalede ilk olarak kentin ve alanların oluşumu kuramsal olarak ele alınır. Tarihsellikle gelen kent kavramı, kentin belleği, kültürel yapısı, agoralar, kamusal alan, kamusal alanda heykel ilişkisi irdelenir. Öte yandan insanlığın yaşamsal sürecinde toplum içinde kamusal alanı algılayış biçimi değiştikçe,sanatsal üretim de, uygulama da değişiklik gösterir. Then, the relations between the sculptures in public spaces, the city, its cultural structure, urban memory, the agora and public spaces will be discussed. On the other hand, artistic production and practice is transformed as the society’s perception of the public sphere changes.
