Kültür ve Öğretmen Metaforları

Metaforlar son yıllarda hem sosyal bilimlerde hem de örgüt analizlerinde artan ilginin konusu ve merkezi olmuştur. Metaforlar kompleks fenomenler hakkında düşünme ve konuşmalarda önemli örgüt elemanları olarak görülürler. Örgüt teorisinde kültürün keşfi pek çok araştırmacı kültürü anlayışa yeni fikirler ve formalar geliştirmede dikkate değer bir potansiyeli olan organizasyon için yeni bir metafor olarak gördüğünden bu fikre katkısı olmuştur. Metaforlar ve görsel imajlar kullanarak, eğitimciler kendi rolleri ve sorumlulukları, eğitimin doğası ve öğretmen öğrenci ilişkileri hakkında daha derin bir anlayışa sahip olurlar. Pek çok faydalı metafor vardır. Eğitim problemlerine anne-baba, bahçıvan veya bir doktor gözüyle bakılması bir kişinin nasıl ilerlemesi gerektiği konusunda fikirler verecektir

CULTURE AND TEACHER METAPHORS USED IN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

Metaphors have been the subject of increasing attention in recent years, both in social science in general and organizational analysis in particular. Metaphors are seen as important organizing devices in thinking and talking about complex phenomena. The discovery of culture in organization theory has contributed to this interest, as many researchers have come to see culture as a new metaphor for organization with a considerable potential for developing new ideas and new forms of understanding. By using metaphors and visual images, educators can arrive at a deeper understanding of their role and responsibility as educators, the nature of education, and the relationships between the teacher and student. There are many useful metaphors. Looking at educational problems in the light of a parent, a gardener or a doctor might give insight about how one should proceed
