Bu çalışmanın amacı, Azerbaycana giriş yapan doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar ile bazı makroekonomik değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri incelemektir. Bu amaçla 2002 yılının dördüncü çeyreği ile 2014 yılının dördüncü çeyreği arasındaki dönemler için, gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla, ihracat, ithalat ve doğrudan yabancı sermaye çıkışı makro ekonomik değişkenlerinin doğrudan yabancı sermaye girişleri üzerindeki etkisi, çoklu doğrusal regresyon yöntemi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre, gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla, ithalat ve doğrudan yabancı sermaye çıkışı doğrudan yabancı sermaye girişlerini olumlu yönde etkilerken, ihracat ise doğrudan yabancı sermaye girişlerini olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between foreign direct investment inflows and some macroeconomic variables in Azerbaijan. For this purpose, for the periods between fourth quarter of 2002 year and fourth quarter of 2014 year, the impact of macroeconomics factors like gross domestic product, export, import and foreign direct investment outflow on foreign direct investment inflows was investigated by employing multiple regression model. According to the findings of the study, gross domestic product, import and foreign direct investment outflow affect foreign direct investment inflows positively while export affects foreign direct investment inflows negatively.
