In the last century, huge changes have been seen in different fields, such as social, cultural, economical and technological fields. These changes have forced to changes management approaches. In the current day conditions, which is very competitive and uneasy to become successful, organizations need each of its employees’ support in the maximum level? Therefore, employees’ opinions and suggestions should be listened and the opportunity for participation to decision-making should be given to them. Many theories and research have emphasized that participation to decision-making has a positive effect on motivation, performance and effectiveness. Hence, it is also has an effect on accomplishing organizations’ goals. This current study investigated the employees’ perceptions regarding an application of a department in the Turkish National Police, which provide an opportunity to participate to decision-making. The findings supporting the literature showed that when employees’ opinions and suggestions are listened to make organizational decisions, employees become more motivated, their job satisfaction become higher, and they trust their organization more.
