Educational Administration and Values

Since it is impossible to support an educational system without considering the importance of values, it is essential to include principles, which would guide the educators to emphasize what is important and has priority as well as what is right and what is wrong in teaching. It is also imperative to make decisions based on the values at the every step in administrative processing. Although making decisions should be based on the very principles, discussing values as part of the decision making process is equally important since they would guide the administration in this process. In addition, accepting the fact that these decisions will affect others’ directly, the administrators should base their decisions on certain principles and should be aware of those principles. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss the issue of values and provide suggestions and a point of view based on the reviewed literature.
