The Ottoman Empire which was defeated in the First World War, signed Armistice of Mudros on 30th October 1918. Entente Powers that commented conditions of armistice in their own interest, begun to invade the Ottoman Empire. One of places that were invaded was Sanjak of Alexendrette which was released to Syria during 19 years that was under the mandate of France.This book explores Hatay question via events that occured between people who belong to different ethnic and secterian groups and the international relations perspective of the issue. This work is the presentation paper of Sarah D. Shields’ Fezzes in the River book which deals the accession process of Hatay to Turkey
