Madencilikde robot kullanımı, son yıllarda, ilgili pekçok kuruluşun ve araştırmacının üzerinde çalıştığı önemli bir konudur..Değişen ekonomik şartlar ve madenciliğin kendine has problemleri robotik kontrollü sistemlerin gelecekte yerüstü ve yeraltı işletmelerinde çok geniş bir uygulama alanı bulacağını göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada, madencilik sektöründe robotik kontrolün önemi, neden gerekli olduğu, bir maden robotu tasarımındaki süreçler, günümüz maden makinalarına robotik kontrol uygulamaları ve konu ile ilgili araştırma-geliştirme faaliyetlerinin ulaştığı seviye ve madencilikte robotik kontrolün geleceği ele alınmaktadır.

Robotics control in mining is an important aspect that many institutes and researchers work on in recent years. Changing economical conditions and specific problems of mining make the robotics controlled systems to have wide-range practice in openpit and underground mines.
