Bilindiği gibi, flotasyoa ince tane boyutunda kıymetli minerali kıymetsizden ayırmak için kullanılan bir cevher zenginleştirme yöntemidir. Bu amaçla kullanımı 1925 lerden sonra gittikçe artmış ve en önemli zenginleştirme yöntemi haline gelmiştir. Son yıllarda flotasyonun çevre ile ilgili problemlerin çözümü için de kullanılmaya başlanması önemini artırmıştır. Bu yazıda flotasyon kısaca tanıtıldıktan sonra çevre korumaya yönelik kullanımından örnekler verilecektir.

Flotation is an enrichment process, used for separation of valuable minerals from the gang minerals in the fine size range. The application of flotation since 1925 has been extended and it has become the most important enrichment technique. In recent years. It has gained additional importance as a result of its use in environmental applications. In this paper, the flotation is introduced briefly and some examples are given about its application in environmental protection.
