Bologna sürecinin bilgi okuryazarlığının geliştirilmesine katkıları ve İstanbul Üniversitesi Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümü örneği

Öz Today's world, known as information age, has brought a competitive environment where those who can use information in the fastest and most effective way have advantages over others. In order to adapt to rapid change in information technology, students need to acquire the ability of InformationLiteracy. Here, in recent years, the increasing importance of Information Literacy has been addressed, starting with the efforts to establish the European Higher Education Area (AEA) and its place in Bologna ongoing activities and the impact on Information Literacy. In addition, since 2001, What is meant by the Bologna process that Turkey is involved in and what opportunities it offers to the Turkish higher education system are discussed. In addition, our university has been made aware of what kind of  areness is formed, and the relation between Bologna process and Information Literacy has been examined. Accordingly, the place of academic literacy and the importance of the concept of Information Literacy have been assessed. As the article was written, the phases of the emergence of the Bologna process were investigated and readings on the topic were collected and data were collected about the steps of Turkish Higher Education system. In addition, information about the undergraduate and post-graduate foreign student mobility in the Information and Document Management Department of Istanbul University was given and the change in the number of students was revealed.
