Anne ve Baba Eğitim Düzeyleri ile 10 Yaş Çocuğunun Duygusal Zeka Performansı Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Bu çalışmanın amacı, anne ve babanın eğitim düzeyi ile 10 yaş çocuğunun duygusal zeka performansı arasındaki ilişkiyi karşılaştırmalı olarak incelemektir. Çalışma, korelasyonel araştırma yönteminde desenlenmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile ulaşılan 240 10 yaş çocuğu oluşturmuştur. Veriler Coşkun, Öksüz ve Yılmaz (2017) tarafından geliştirilen 10 Yaş Dönemi Duygusal Zeka Ölçeği (OYDZÖ) ile elde edilmiştir. Veriler, Spearman Brown katsayısı ve basit doğrusal regresyon ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular, annenin eğitim düzeyi ile 10 yaş çocuğunun duygusal zeka performansı arasında orta düzeyde bir ilişkinin bulunduğunu (r= .50), buna karşılık babanın eğitim düzeyi ile 10 yaş çocuğun duygusal zeka performansı arasında düşük düzeyli bir ilişkinin olduğunu ortaya koymuştur (r =.25). Regresyon analizi sonuçları ise annenin eğitim düzeyi ile 10 yaş çocuğunun duygusal zeka performansı değişkenlerine dayalı olarak oluşturulan modelin, varyansı orta düzeyde açıkladığını tespit etmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular, ebeveyn-çocuk etkileşimi çerçevesinde ele alınmış ve tartışılmıştır.
